  1. “Southorn playground is wicked. It four full courts, very nicely-maintained rims and backboards, and a clean court surface. There's always a nice crowd playing, from students to older players and everything in between. Newcomers are welcome, and its a friendly game. There's a mix of HK and expats, and its especially fun to watch the chinese grandads just make it _rain_, all while wearing Crocs. Floodlights mean the games go on well into the evening, and the night play can be epic. The whole court just has a great vibe, and there's people having lunch and relaxing, watching the games during the day, and just being out and about in the evening. There are two small issues, though--one is that the courts are solid concrete, very smooth and well-surfaced, but still hard as hell if you're playing for a while. The other is that there's a slight southward tilt in the three main courts. It's great if you're shooting 3's at the southmost basket, but does take a toll when you're playing full-court. It's also cool to have the footie games going at the little stadium right next door.” – DrOfnothing (9 years ago)
