ringer update
there are 2 courts. Nets are in good condition. the courts are often a little dusty (slippery) but otherwise good. pickup games begin in early evening, at first, typically younger school kids (terrible) but by the end of the night, some decent talent occasionally shows up. Because the pickup games are usually so-so, I try to go with a buddy. That way, we can play some 1-on-1 on the second court if the pickup game looks crappy. typically, there was a lot of trash talking, and play got pretty physical by the end of the night, but i don't mind that. there are no lights, so when it gets dark, it's over. scale of 1-10: court condition: 8 level of pickup: 5

Back in the Day
This was my neighborhood court for a year of living in Alston. The game there was up and down, but early evenings on week days and early afternoons on weekends were decent. Physically speaking, the court was in decent shape and the setting was nice. The worst time to play was just around the times the area schools were letting out. Best to avoid it for those couple hours. Word of warning: All the above was from ten years ago. I'd love to hear how / if it's changed.
